Cicindela is a biotech start-up that develops tools to optimise insect mass rearing, sexing and sterilisation procedures. Using robotics, computer vision and AI, we enhance the performance of genetic pest control programmes such as those integrating a Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) component. Our founders have over 25 years’ experience applying SIT against fruit flies, mosquitoes and tsetse flies.
